The difference between coaching and mentoring
There are many similarities between coaching and mentoring. Mentoring, particularly in its traditional sense, enables an individual to follow in the path of a colleague who knowledge and can pass on this knowledge, experience and also open doors to otherwise out-of-reach understanding.
Coaching, on the other hand, is not generally offered on the basis that the coach has direct experience of the coachee’s role, unless the coaching is specific and skills focused.

The coaching and mentoring skills development programme works with a mixture of presentation, discussion and practical exercises, through which delegates will develop an understanding of what coaching and mentoring is, the relationship between effective coaching and superior job performance and the skills of the expert coach.

Participants
will be introduced to a variety of useful coaching models and develop an understanding of the benefits of coaching – for both coach and coachee.
